We invite you to spend a fairy tale winter vacation on the White Sea Coast!
You'll be the first ice divers of the season and will make check dives in the end of December and the New Year Eve dive! Besides diving, we are glad to offer our guests: silence and snow purity of the Russian North, walks and snowmobile trips along the snow-covered shore of the White Sea, combined with biological and geological excursions, cross-skiing trips, ice fishing, hot Russian and Japanese bath, and, of course, a superb friendly community, visit of Father Frost (Santa Claus) and Snow Maiden with New Year's gifts and congratulations.
A diving trip to the White Sea in winter is a dive into a completely different underwater world with a fantastically transparent water, fabulously beautiful ice and the White Sea fauna, that is diverse in winter not less than it is in summer. Bubbles of air, exhaled by ice divers, flowing like mercury under the ice cover, the glare of the sun, dancing in the water and on the ice surface, underwater rocks and rifts and their inhabitants make ice diving at the White Sea so special! You'll get unforgettable impressions under the ice arch of the sea, watch amazing soft corals under the frozen sea surface with ice-hummocks and cavities.
In winter time our Dive Centre is one of the best places in the world to experience marine ice diving. We provide a well-established mobile ice camp, equipped with portable warm wooden cabins, for ice divers to feel comfortable on ice before and after the dive. The cabins are equipped with special sledges, on which they can easily be moved between dive sites with the help of snowmobiles.
Exquisite underwater environment: soft corals, sea anemones, "Gorgon’s head" brittle stars, hermit crabs, numerous starfish, mussel farms and seaweed forests, underwater cliffs and their inhabitants. Drift diving in the tidal current.
Daily diving in the vicinity of the dive center and the surrounding islands, and a two-day trip by speedboats to the remote islands with an overnight stay in a camp or a traditional fisherman’s house. You will go diving during the day with our experienced guides, who will show you excellent dive sites with rich underwater life. In the evening, enjoy ukha (fish soup) and shashlyk (kebab) cooked on campfire. You’ll experience all this and more during your Arctic mini-safari.
Autumn in our Northern region is the time when the water becomes more transparent, and phosphoric stars of plankton flare up in the wake wave behind the boat. The shores are coloured by autumn foliage, and the air is filled with the aroma of berries and mushrooms. And as far as the nights become darker and longer, there is a chance to witness the Nothern Lights (Aurora Borealis).
