The Season of Summer Programs Has Ended. What Awaits Us in The Fall?
The summer season has come to an end. The Summer Camp has finished, children and counselors have gone home, the summer cottages have been closed for the winter.
Autumn came like clockwork: from the very first days of September, the leaves of the trees began to turn yellow, painting the shores of the White Sea in a mottled yellow and green. Life in the taiga almost quieted down — nature began preparation for winter.
But life does not stop in “The Arctic Circle”! Autumn on the White Sea is a great time for tourism and diving. Our autumn programs will begin very soon. It's a completely different mood, a different style, different kind of entertainment.
And that's what we are preparing for you this fall:
MUSSEL FESTIVAL
Dates: September 24 - 26, 2021
Fried mussels with cranberries, mussels cooked on fire with spices and in white wine, mussels baked with cheese, vegetables and mushrooms, original cuisine. Just as Bubba from the movie "Forrest Gump" knew many ways to cook shrimp, we know countless recipes for cooking mussels!
We will collect mussels at low tide with biological lections, go on excursions, have picnics on the islands, go to the sauna and relax from the bustle of the city in the autumn silence of the White Sea!
WHITE SEA JOURNEY
Dates: 05 - 10 October 2021
Biological, geological, and historical lectures, excursions to lakes and rivers, observation of sea and taiga birds, reindeer, and sled dogs... The White Sea is an encyclopedia of wildlife under the open sky. We will study it while hiking, during sea trips to the islands and picnics in nature. And in the evenings, we will gather for lectures and discussions, where we will learn not only about the life of the Russian North, but also many other interesting things.
THE WHITE SEA FIRST AID SCHOOL
October 31 - November 05, 2021
How to help a choked person? How to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation? How to recognize the first signs of a heart attack or a stroke and how to help? How to call the special services, and what answers should be prepared in advance? How to help with injuries, bruises, burns and frostbite? You will know the answers to these and many other questions about how to provide first aid. In the beautiful Karelian landscapes, we will work out real rescue scenarios and learn how to competently provide pre-medical care.
