Freediving competitions on the White Sea "White challenge 2023"

Freediving competitions on the White Sea "White challenge 2023" were held in the Arctic Circle
. Athletes competed in two disciplines:
- FIM (Free Immersion) - free diving into the depth on a rope on their hands

Alexey Molchanov was the first to speak, but did not participate in the overall standings. He safely reached the 70m mark.

Mark Kisurin from Irkutsk won the overall standings. He plunged 52 meters and received a white card from the judges. Among women, Olga Markina dived the deepest. Its depth is 38m.

- CWT (Constant Weight) - diving into the depth with a constant weight in fins

After the publication by the judges of the depths declared by the athletes, an intrigue was born: both Alexey Molchanov and Andrey Matveenko requested the same depth - 85m. Who will be the winner?

In difficult weather conditions, both athletes successfully reached the declared depth and cleanly completed the finishing protocols. And in this discipline, there were two winners at the tournament with the same result - 85 meters. Congratulations to Alexey and Andrey with new ice records. The second place in this case (when the first two) is not awarded, and the third was taken by Mark Kisurin.

Among women, Tatiana Zemskikh dived the deepest. She reached the mark of 52 meters and received a white card. Congratulations to Tatiana on this amazing result! Anastasia Ermakova took the second place, and Natalia Chernoborodova took the third.

Congratulations to all participants and wish them new achievements!
