Crane Song

For several weeks, the calls of cranes were often heard. They arrived in mid-April, but while they were hatching chicks, they stayed away from open spaces. Swamps and floodplains of rivers - favorite nesting places of these birds. In such hard-to-reach places, of course, it is much more difficult to "catch" them in the frame. And now the stronger young individuals and adult birds go out to feed in open area.

These birds have very little time left to work up fat. The flight begins in mid-August. And although it usually ends by the end of September, a few years ago we managed to shoot a couple of cranes in October, among the ice!
